The Fertility Awareness Method (FAM) is a daily cycle charting practice where you track fertility bio-markers such as cervical fluid, basal body temperature, and, optionally, cervical position. By observing and recording these signs, you can identify your fertile window with accuracy and gain insight into your hormonal and overall health patterns. This awareness deepens your body literacy, helping you not only time intimacy with confidence but also support your journey to natural conception along the way.
When you begin charting your cycle with the Fertility Awareness Method (FAM) and receive guidance from a certified fertility awareness educator, you start to understand your fertility on a much deeper level. Your cycle charts reveal whether your hormonal health is supporting conception and help you clearly identify your fertile window—the days when you’re most likely to conceive. This kind of body literacy not only brings clarity and confidence but can also highlight potential barriers to natural conception. With this awareness, you can find the right support at the right time, often making it possible to continue your path to conception naturally without needing advanced fertility treatments.
Yes. Cycle charting is especially valuable with irregular cycles because it helps you identify when projected ovulation is actually happening and when your fertile window is (it can vary from cycle to cycle!), rather than relying on average cycle lengths (hello, apps!).
Absolutely. Sperm health is equally important for conception. In coaching, I provide guidance for both partners—covering lifestyle, nutrition, and wellness practices—so couples can work together to optimize fertility and increase the chances of natural conception.
Every fertility journey is sacredly unique. Some women conceive within the first few cycles of charting (this happened to me and one of my clients!), while others take longer and might need help getting the baby room—the womb—ready in one area or another. There are many factors that contribute to conception—physical, spiritual, and emotional—and it is mine and my son’s Samuel heartfelt desire that the result of our work together is the birth of a healthy baby carried to term.
